5/5
"Rocket Ice- We would like to express our utmost gratitude for the support shown for 2014 Hilton Honors Skate America by the Chicagoland Basic Skills Committee. The efforts put forth by the committee and various skating directors in the Chicago area were instrumental in the overall success of the event. Michelle Tepkasetkul-Martineau along with their fellow skating directors helped facilitate two group performances of 100 skaters each for the Smucker's Skating Spectacular. These performances contributed an energetic feel for the event and a memorable experience for the skaters, competitors, and spectators. Chicago is a very important community to figure skating and bringing young skaters on the ice to perform alongside domestic and international competitive figure skaters is not a task easily achieved. It was the hard work, dedication, and support the Chicagoland Basic Skills Committee and the skating community that made this possible. Basic Skills programs around the country represent our sport on the grassroots level and help ensure skaters of all ages and abilities receive the tools they need to excel. U.S. Figure Skating is grateful to these programs that teach and carry on the love and joy of figure skating in local communities every day. Thank you again for your continued support.
