Learn to Skate

At Rocket Ice Skating Rink, our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for ice skaters of all ages and abilities. Throughout your child’s time in our learn to skate program, they will learn fundamental skills, grow as a skater and reach new levels as an athlete. Our coaches provide organized and engaging ice skating lessons to leave your child wanting more.

General Information for Ice Skating Lessons

Ice skating lessons meet once a week. At the end of each session, skaters will receive a Progress Report to help them select the appropriate level to sign up for next. In order for students to maximize their progress we encourage students to attend Rockin’ Public Ice Skates. This is a great setting for your child to practice their moves and elements and also to have fun skating to the music.

How Our Ice Skating Lessons Work

From Snowplow Sam to Figure Skating classes, ice skating lessons are presented in concise levels with each one focusing on several skills that will be built upon in following levels. After demonstrating mastery of the skills in one level, a student may proceed to the next. Our ice skating lesson curriculum works in conjunction with the United States Figure Skating Basic Skills Program.
