Ice Skating Lessons

Learn to Skate

At Rocket Ice Skating Rink, our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for ice skaters of all ages and abilities. Throughout your child’s time in our learn to skate program, they will learn fundamental skills, grow as a skater and reach new levels as an athlete. Our coaches provide organized and engaging ice skating lessons to leave your child wanting more.

General Information for Ice Skating Lesson Classes

Ice skating lessons meet once a week. At the end of each session, skaters will receive a Progress Report which will help them select the appropriate level to sign up for next. In order for students to maximize their progress we provide each skater enrolled in an ice skating lesson with a VIP skater card. This allows the student to skate for free during the weeks of their ice skating lessons at our Rockin’ Public Ice Skates. This is a great setting for your child to practice their moves and elements and also to have fun skating to the music. Click Here for Our Welcome to Figure Skating Letter

How Our Ice Skating Lessons Work

From Snowplow Sam to Figure Skating classes, ice skating lessons are presented in concise levels with each one focusing on several skills that will be built upon in following levels. After demonstrating mastery of the skills in one level, a student may proceed to the next. Our ice skating lesson curriculum works in conjunction with the United States Figure Skating Basic Skills Program.

“Rocket Ice- Brian had Coach Trina & Janet for Tot 1 class that ended Aug 10. This was Brian’s first real time on ice. We were very pleased with Trina & Janet. They were patient, friendly, and got Brian to participate. Thank you.”
