Throughout your child’s time in our hockey program, they will learn fundamental ice skating and hockey skills, grow as a skater and player, and reach new levels as an athlete. The Rocket Ice Hockey Program has Levels 2 through 5.
- Before joining Level 2 Hockey, players must first know how to skate. Complete the Rocket Ice Arena introductory skating class before progressing into Level 2 hockey.
- Great Class Times: Classes meet once a week for Levels 2 and 3. Levels 4 and 5 meet twice a week with one practice day and one game day.
- Rocket Ice has family friendly weeknight and weekend class times. Choose the day and time that works best for your family. The class you choose is your weekly class time.
- Multiple Class Discount: Add a second or third weekly class in the same level and receive 50% off the added class.
- VIP Skater Perk: Enrolled students receive a FREE Rockin’ Open Skate pass which provides the enrolled skater with free admission to every public skate during their session.
- Next Step: Upon completion of the Rocket Ice Learn to Play Hockey Program, your player is equipped to join a youth hockey team. Rocket Ice is home to the Sabre Youth Hockey Association. Teams compete against the various other Chicagoland youth hockey associations. Team tryouts for youth hockey associations occur in mid-August each year.
Hockey is a lifetime sport! Once your child learns to play hockey, they can enjoy the sport through youth leagues, high school teams, and into adulthood! We see players at Rocket Ice in their 70s and 80s still having fun playing the game with their friends!
